Our mission.
STL Tax Counselors are driven to provide free quality tax returns for individuals and families of limited income through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
STL Tax Counselors started in January of 2021. In our first year of operation we prepared 344 Federal returns and 382 State returns serving 356 clients. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Our volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS each year. We are part of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. We follow strict adherence to the IRS guidelines for the VITA Program.
